From Love & Pain Blog Tour, Author interview and Giveaway! Win Swag!

It's time for another fabulous interview with author H.A Caine! If you haven't read my review yet, please read below, no doubt you will want to buy the book :) Read after my review for an interview with the author and guidelines on how to win some amazing author Swag!

Title: From Love & Pain
Author: H.A. Caine
Genre(s): Romance, Suspense
My Rating:
29 year old Adrian ran away from an imprisoning and abusive household at the age of 19. For years he ran, living on the streets and in shelters, taking crappy jobs to save a little money. Ten years of struggling and now he is a successful partner of a security company. Under the guise of running the security company, Adrian and his best friend and the people who work for them help others who live unfortunately. Like Adrian, not one of his employees have a nice past. They're all running from something, never letting their guards down and they don't want others to suffer as they have. But Adrian makes the mistake of falling in love with a young man when he's 27. For a while, he gets to experience what it's like to be a normal man. He never thought he could be happy, but Jaxon makes him the happiest man in the world. Only it can't last and Adrian is forced to leave or risk Jaxon's life. But his demons caught up with him long before he realized and now no ones safe. Can Adrian save Jaxon before it's too late? And can Jaxon forgive him for walking away?

Want a story that has everything?
Action, adventure, a dark past, happy moments, suspenseful moments, and best of all... sexy moments!
Then add From Love & Pain to your "To-Read" shelf today :)
Caine has done a wonderful job of making a memorable story that you won't want to end. Everyone loves to read about love but it is very rare when you get to read about a different kind of love. Adrian is a man, who falls in love with a man....for some, this is a touchy subject but I think we all need to learn about what kinds of love are out there....isn't love what we all strive for in our lives?

The Book addresses some very important issues that are present in the world today, one of these being abuse. If you have followed my blog for awhile then you know that I am a very strong advocate against abuse and bullying. As a victim myself, I am drawn to books that address these issues and there is nothing I love more then seeing how the main character rises above their trials.

I don't want to give to much of the story away but reviews are raving about this book and after reading the synopsis, I think you will already be hooked to find out more about Adrian and his life.

Read below for an excerpt from the book and interview with the author.

About the Author

H. A. Caine lives in her hometown of Brooklyn, New York. She has hopes of becoming a great writer and one day opening her own bakery. She even has the name and layout already decided. Among other writing projects she's working on her very own first series, Boys in Love. The first book, Letting Go, will be available later this year.

She enjoys reading and has a passion for writing. But more than anything, she loves hearing from her readers.

What made you want to write?
First off, I want to say thank you for having me here.
Now, I've always written. I enjoy being able to express myself. To know I can not only create characters but give them a story is amazing and a true joy. Writing is an escape for me and its one that I thoroughly enjoy.

Where is your favorite spot to read?
Gosh, there's so many. I guess I would have to say my absolute favorite spot to read is in my bedroom. With the lights out, the fan on and the blankets pulled up, I can sink my teeth into a book and get swallowed up into the characters and their story.
A good book is one you can disappear into.

Do you have friends that you rely on to help you in your writing?
I do. I rely on my friends on Goodreads and those I've met through writing. They're truly amazing. My family is proud of me but my friends are my real support. :)

What is your next project?
I'm working on a series, Boys in Love. The stories will be completely different from From Love and Pain but kind of similar in a way. I know, a contradiction, right? What I mean is, as in From Love and Pain, love will be a big focus as well as struggle. But the struggles will not be the same. These will be more on internal/acceptance and change. Not angsty just not easy.

What are you hope for your writing career?
To connect with my readers and write to my little heart's content.

Excerpt From the Book
Jaxon laughed softly as he remembered the fun night they had after dinner that day. When they had awakened the next day they were both covered in ingredients needed to make perfect banana splits and the hardwood floor was covered with chocolate and caramel syrup. It had taken them hours to clean the whole mess, but neither one complained, remembering the night before.
It still hurt Jaxon when he thought of Adrian's disappearance. That night Adrian had told Jaxon that he loved him too so he knew it wasn't that, that had scared him off. But he knew Adrian well enough to know that he had a reason for what he had done.
Jaxon only wished Adrian had taken the time out to tell him what that reason was. He would’ve done everything in his power to help the man he loved. There wasn't a day that went by that Jaxon didn't miss him. He knew that no matter what happened he would always love Adrian.
And he knew that where ever Adrian was a part of him still loved Jaxon, too.

When I travel, I think of home and what it means. At home I'm dreaming of catching trains at night in the gray light of Old Europe, or pushing open shutters to see Florence awaken. The balance just slightly tips in the direction of the airport.
